Welcome to my website. By using this website or purchasing any of my services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before working with me.

This website is owned and operated by Monica Thomas, trading as Monica Thomas | Web Developer.

2. Services

I provide website design, development, hosting, and maintenance services as described on this site.
All projects and care plans are agreed upon in writing, including scope, pricing, and timelines.

3. Payments

  • A deposit may be required before work begins.

  • Final payment is due on completion unless otherwise stated in your invoice or proposal.

  • Care Plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice.

  • All payments are non-refundable once work has commenced, except in special circumstances at my discretion.

4. Ownership & Copyright

  • Clients retain full ownership of their content, images, and domain name.

  • Design layouts, templates, and code remain the property of Monica Thomas | Web Developer until full payment is received.

  • Upon full payment, clients receive the right to use the completed website for their business.

5. Hosting & Care Plans

  • Hosting (where included) is managed through trusted third-party platforms such as Netlify, Squarespace, or similar providers.

  • While I take every precaution to ensure uptime and performance, I am not liable for outages or issues caused by third-party platforms.

  • Clients will be notified of any major updates or maintenance affecting service.

6. Content & Responsibility

  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate, lawful content and ensuring compliance with data protection and copyright laws.

  • I reserve the right to refuse or remove content that is unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful.

7. Revisions & Support

  • One round of minor revisions is included with most website packages. Additional changes may incur extra fees.

  • Support response times vary by Care Plan level. Essential Care includes standard email support; Complete Care includes priority support.

8. Liability

  • I make every effort to ensure the security, quality, and performance of your website, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

  • I am not responsible for loss of revenue, data, or reputation resulting from website downtime or external platform issues.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate a Care Plan with 30 days’ written notice.
All outstanding payments must be settled before termination. Upon cancellation, hosting (if included) will be deactivated after the notice period.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this website.
