Why No One’s Finding Your Website (and How to Fix It)

You’ve launched your website, shared it on social media, and waited for visitors to roll in… but nothing. It’s one of the most frustrating things for small business owners and the good news is, it’s fixable.
If your website isn’t showing up on Google or getting many views, it’s usually not because your business isn’t good, it’s because your site isn’t set up to be found.

Let’s fix that.

Check Your Basics

Before diving into SEO or ads, make sure your foundation’s solid:
✅ Each page has a clear page title and meta description (this is what shows up in Google).
✅ You’ve added your business name and location on your homepage and contact page.
✅ Your site’s connected to Google Search Console and Google Analytics so Google knows you exist.

Add Keywords Naturally

Think about what your clients are actually typing into Google.
If you’re a “Cake Maker in London” that phrase should appear in your headings and paragraphs naturally, not stuffed in.

Try this quick trick:
➡ Write down 3 phrases your ideal client would search for.
➡ Use each once in a heading and once in the body text.

Show Google You’re Active

Google loves fresh content.
Add a blog, update your photos, or post client reviews regularly. Even a short update helps keep your site “alive.”

Build Trust Signals

Having links from other websites (like collaborators, local listings, or partners) tells Google you’re legit.
Start with:

  • Your Google Business Profile

  • Local directories (especially if you serve a specific area)

  • A few friendly backlinks from clients or businesses you’ve worked with
